Question - Is MLM a "Get Rich Quick Scheme?"

Answer - Not even sort of and if someone is telling you that it is, run far and run fast. That is "old school" network marketing and someone is not being truthful with you. The truth is, you can get rich. The reality is, just like in any business venture, you must roll up your sleeves and get to work. There are ways of doing the business that can produce faster results, and ways that build more slowly. The key to success is in developing a solid business plan and then taking action on that plan.

Question - Is MLM a "Pyramid Scheme?"

Answer - Definitely not. MLM has been associated with the word "pyramid" based on two primary reasons. The first is that as you build a business and a sales team, it often looks like the shape of a pyramid, much like corporate America does (one CEO at the top; a few top level executives below and then layers of middle management and then the workers.) The second reason is that some illegal money games have come along in the past and billed themselves as legitimate MLM Businesses. In a legitimate company, a person only gets paid when products or services change hands.

The difference between legitimate MLM companies and those that are not, is the way they earn profit. A balance between recruiting and selling should exist. If the company's primary focus is towards recruitment, with little or no mention of retailing it is not earning its money in the right ways.

A pyramid scheme is a myth associated with MLM companies. A pyramid scheme takes peoples money for enrolling with the promise that as others enroll they will get part of the profits. The problem is that this type of plan has no viable product or service to offer and will eventually self-extinguish. These plans may have web sites with phony testimonials and fake information. While MLM businesses have frequently been linked to pyramid schemes they are not the same thing. Legitimate MLM companies sell real products and make real money.

Question - I don't want to make money off of my family and friends, will I have to?

Answer - You certainly don't have to tell your family and friends about your exciting new products or the business that you are creating for yourself, but why wouldn't you? It's really all in how you look at it. If you sincerely believe in your products, wouldn't you want those closest to you to know and benefit as well? For me personally, marketing a clean burning candle that doesn't create black stuff on the jar, furniture or walls is something I want everyone I care about to know about. I don't want their homes polluted either, especially if I am in them, ha! So, since I believe in this product, it only makes sense that I would let them know and share my excitement in building the business from home, with my family and around our lives and schedules.

That doesn't mean I hound them to death to get involved as well, or to buy, but I do give them the courtesy of knowing about it. What they decide is up to them and I respect their decision.

My friend Mindy cuts our family's hair. She does a great job and everyone enjoys her. I never feel like she is making money off of me and I can't think of anyone else I would rather support since this is something we need to have done anyway.

I encourage you see this option in a totally different light.

Question - Someone told me it is easy, is this true?

Answer - If someone is making the business of building an MLM seem a little too easy, you would do well to stay away. Building anything successful is a long term endeavor and will take time, persistency and commitment. To me, it has always been much easier than getting up to an alarm clock, but it does take business planning and single daily actions. That is one area I like to coach on because it is key to success. Having a proven Roadmap to get there is critical. It takes knowing that there are going to be some who tell you yes, and more who tell you no. And that is okay, you don't need them all. You need a vision, a reason "why" you are doing the business, and then training to know what to do along each step.

Question - Do you have to get in at the beginning to make money?

Answer - Please see the 5 Stages of Growth Report here. There are stages of growth that every company will go through and each one has its own unique set of challenges, as does any other type of business structure. The key is to get in when you are ready, focused and determined to do whatever is needed to get your business launched and successful. Your timing is the most critical of all. A key to the compensation plan, though, is making sure that you are not limited by your own sponsor's growth and that you can, in fact, pass up your sponsor. Most companies allow this so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Question - Should I believe those ads promising that they'll do the work for me; that they will build my downline?

Answer - C'mon, do you really believe that there are people out there, who don't know you, who are lining up to build a business for you and make you a ton of money? This is one of the greatest myths of all. Please don't fall for it. If anyone tells you that you can make a lot of money in MLM without talking to anyone; making any sales; spending any money; or investing any time, they are flat out lying to you. As stated above, success in MLM comes from rolling up your sleeves and taking action. We have a roadmap in place to teach you how to do this, so you won't be alone, struggling, trying to figure it out.

There is a reason why this team holds all of the company records in recruiting and team growth. We want to assist you in creating that type of success for yourself. Notice I said assist you. We can't do it for you, but you have my word that I'll share all of the secrets of my success with you. Which, truly aren't secrets at all - just commitment and action..

Question - Can anyone make money in MLM?

Answer - Absolutely, anyone can make money in MLM. However, just like any other business, the amount of money that can be made will be in line with the amount of time, effort and commitment that is put into building the business.

What is required is a long term commitment to success and ideally, one should have some working capital to see them to profit. We have the tools to assist you in introducing and explaining the business; training new team members and how to develop oneself into a leader.

The important thing to know is that It takes time and a business plan. I like to advise people to plan on 2 to 5 years of dedicated effort to see the results that are desired. It can happen fast, and that is great, but 2-5 years should be the plan.
